The Cinque Terre is a string of five picturesque seaside villages located on the breathtaking coastline of the Italian Riviera.
Monterosso, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola and Riomaggiore are the names of the 5 coastal villages and over centuries, people have carefully built terraces to cultivate grapes and olives on the rugged, steep landscape right up to the cliffs that overlook the Mediterranean Sea.
These five ingeniously constructed fishing villages can bolster the most jaded of spirits.
Vernazza is one of my favorites of the Cinque terre. The sights are amazing there! The Multi-colored houses around the harbor, the central square that opens on to a small beach, the ruins of the old castle at the top and the location, make Vernazza very unique!
Meet the Village of Riomaggiore , that dates from the early thirteenth century, situated in a small valley in the Liguria region of Italy. It's is the most southern village of the five Cinque Terre.
